Just in time for Christmas, I received a box of the classic seahorses, which are beautiful to behold with their marbled mix of dark, milk and white chocolate. Weighing in at 374g, it contains 32 Belgian chocolates filled with Guylian's award winning hazelnut praline. As I stated in my review, Guylian is one of the main sponsors of Project Seahorse.
I also received a 132g box of 16 milk chocolate truffles covered in Belgian milk chocolate and a 180g box of 16 milk chocolate truffles covered in white, milk or dark chocolate flakes. These truffles, I was less enamoured with. They had a smooth texture and tasted good, but the inclusion of vegetable oil in the ingredients is not, in my opinion, a welcome development; I'd far rather see cream or butter.
Guylian have recently launched a UK online shop to make it even easier to purchase those gorgeous praline filled seashells. You'll also find a number of different products and presentations that aren't always available on the high street including a 500g tin of seashells, truffles and an assortment of Belgian chocolates - all very reasonably priced.
Sadly, the weather has been so appalling here over the last few weeks, that's I've been unable to take any decent photographs. The ones I've used here are the best of a very bad bunch.
Guylian are offering Chocolate Log Blog readers the chance to win a hamper stuffed full of Guylian products and consisting of two chocolate bars, seven boxes of chocolates and a chocolate fondue dip - 800g of chocolate in total.
